So if you are worried, sad and emotional about your kids going back to school, remember we all need to get a papyrus basket and let our child go in the way God wants them to be. But if we let go, trusting God has a plan for them, he will protect them, take care of them and orchestrate their ways to become what God wants them to be. If we decide to hide our children at home we will only be hindering what God has planned for their lives. God sees a brilliant scientist, a talented doctor, a brave astronaut, an inspiring pastor when he sees our children. She saw a “fine child” but God saw a great leader! Sometimes what we see in our kids will be very different from what God sees in them. It all happened because one mother decided to let her child go trusting God’s plan. That child became one of the greatest leader in the history of the world leading several million Israelites out of bondage and slavery.

God orchestrated that child’s journey through Nile so beautifully that the child ended in a royal place. Little did she know that God had a great plan for that child. “Letting go” of her child must have been one of the hardest decision she must have made. She got a papyrus basket and made it comfortable for her child and let him go in the dangerous waters of Nile. So she decided to do something extraordinary. But she could not hide him longer as the Pharoah had ordered to kill all the Hebrew babies. I am sure she would have wished for a pause button in life so she could have frozen those wonderful memories with her “fine child”. Moses’ mother saw that Moses was a “fine child” and so she hid him for three months.

I was also slightly sad in the corner of my mind to see how quickly the kids grow and I was wishing if there is a pause button in life so I can freeze these moments. To my knowledge this was one of the best summer holidays we ever had. Personally I was slightly sad to see a great summer vacation (after a year long covid saga) coming to an end. No matter how strong you are it is always an emotional day to see your kids go to school for a new term especially after 2 months of fun, frolic and sometimes frustration too! I saw some parents with tears as they left their kids in school. Today was “back to school” day for my kids and many other kids in Central Scotland.
